I’m participating in the upcoming Portland Show Biennial Exhibit at Greenhut Galleries, opening April 7th. (Artists reception Saturday, April 9, 1-3pm) For this show each artist is required to create an image that relates to Portland, Maine. For awhile now I have been mulling over shifting my “High Line” architectural type imagery into something marine related. This seemed like a good opportunity to take the leap. The image below is my entry. Titled “The Working Waterfront” it is acrylic on panel, 16 x 20 inches. I am continuing this series, currently creating smaller paintings on panel but will soon tackle translating this idea into prints….using collagraphs and monotypes as I did in the High Line series.
