BENEMAN_URBANSALVAGEVII_webI’m looking forward to showing this piece at the upcoming exhibit Focus Printmaking III at Greenhut Galleries.  Urban Salvage VII, monoprint 26″ x 79″.

Opening reception Saturday, February 8th from 1-3pm.                                                    Exhibition runs through the end of March

I am also pleased to announce I am now officially represented by Greenhut Galleries.  You can check out my available work anytime on their website:www.greenhutgalleries.com

Other shows coming up include The 10th Biennial Portland Show at Greenhut opening in early April.  My work in the traveling flat file with the Boston Printmakers will be shown in an exhibition at the Southern Graphics Council Conference in Puerto Rico in April and then onto Cuba for the exhibition Conexiones/Connections at the Taller Experimental de Grafica in Havana.  In addition I have work in a group exhibition called ImMigration organized by the LA Printmaking Society and currently on exhibit at Self Help Graphics in Los Angeles.  Then in June I will be having a solo exhibition at L/A Arts in Lewiston, ME. Fortunately winter is a good time to get things done in the studio!

Traveling to Italy with the Touching Water artists

A wonderful trip to Venice and Poffabro in the fall ’19 with 6 other artists from Peregrine Press along with Sola from Iceland and Mary from Ireland (we first met them several years ago at Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Ireland). Joining us on this trip were Helga from Iceland and Margie from upstate NY.  We saw as much of the Biennale art as we could cram in in three days along with print studio visits, general sightseeing and lots of good food. Then onto Poffabro where we stayed in old stone houses, bonded with Benedictine nuns, gave demonstrations, hiked amongst mushroom gatherers, ate more good food, exhibited our work, did a temporary art installation in a dry river bed, visited archaeological museums, Celtic grottos, high school art students and drank a bunch of wine.  Now the group wonders…where to next time?
