Exhibition opening reception and book signing at Soprafina Gallery, Boston, MA

I have 2 monoprints in this exhibition at Soprafina Gallery, 55 Thayer St. Boston, MA. The exhibit includes selected works from the recently published book Singular and Serial,  which showcases monoprints and monotypes by over 70 artists from around the country.

Additional artists in the exhibit are Joel Janowitz, Stuart Shils, Jane Kent, Nancy Lazar, Jane Goldman, Wendy Prellwitz, Constance Jacobson, Dan Welden, Bill Jacklin, Liza Folman, John Willis, Wendy Orville, Ron Pokrasso, Peggy Badenhausen and book co-author Catherine Kernan.

MECA Collect sale coming up, June 27-29

I’m pleased to be participating again in the MECA Collect sale happening Thursday, June 27th through Saturday June 29th (open 10-6 each day).  Over 350 works of art are for sale from faculty, alumni, students and friends of the college.  Proceeds go to the Meca Student Scholarship Fund which helps hundreds of students pay for their education.  I have given 2 of my solar plate etchings on nautical charts and have chosen to donate 100% of the sale price to MECA.

Singular and Serial book release

I’m excited to be included in this new publication focusing specifically on monoprints and monotypes.  Over 70 artists from around the country are featured. Available in bookstores, on amazon etc!  Hardcover, 272 pages with 365 full color images.    Stay tuned for upcoming exhibit announcements related to the publication, the first being at Soprafina Gallery in Boston this fall.

 

 

 

 

Waterfront benefit sale Thursday 4/18 from 5-7pm

The artists of the Bakery Studios are holding an art sale to benefit the Maine Coast Fisherman’s Association.  100% of the proceeds will go to help keep the working waterfront in Portland.  Join us on Thursday, April 18th from 5 – 7pm at 61 Pleasant St. in Portland. Our lobby/gallery area will be filled with beautiful work and the Mami Food Truck will be cooking up delicious food.  Come and support Portland’s working waterfront!

Portland Print Crawl weekend

The 2018 Print Crawl is happening Friday, December 14 from 5-8pm and Saturday, December 15 from 10am – 4pm.

Stop by the eight fine art printmaking studios in Portland opening their doors for this annual event.  Visit, pick up a “passport” booklet at any one of the participating studios and have your passport stamped with an original little print. Collect them all! While you’re at it, you can pick up all kinds of beautiful one of a kind gifts. Prints available for every budget.  I’ll be at Peregrine Press in the Bakery Studios Building at 61 Pleasant St.

Yarmouth Frame and Gallery exhibit opening October 27

I am exhibiting 3 recent works in this “Paintings of Portland” exhibit in Yarmouth, a 20 x 30 Working Waterfront painting and two 8 x 10 solar plate etchings printed over nautical charts.     Opening reception Saturday, Oct 27th from 4-7pm.  David Little and Carl Little, authors of the Paintings of Portland book, will be on hand signing copies.  Please stop in….exhibit continues through November 21.
